Le vendredi 29 avril 2022, nous assistions au lancement des activités de l’usine d’assemblage de matériels informatiques et électroménagers d’Horizon industries. Cette cérémonie de lancement a connu la présence du chef du gouvernement, Monsieur Albert Ouédraogo.
Avec déjà 40 employés, l’usine d’assemblage d’ordinateurs portables, de téléphones, tablettes et équipements électroménagers, Horizon industries, entend créer à terme, 123 emplois directs et 3 000 autres indirects. Sa capacité de production est de 1 000 unités par jour, selon son Directeur général.
Cette initiative a été chaudement félicitée par les autorités du pays prêtant l’expression « joyau de l’industrie de notre pays », qui va permettre au Burkina Faso, de ne pas être en marge de la 4e révolution industrielle.
Pour le gouvernement, c’est un projet qui va contribuer à une amélioration significative de la digitalisation de certains services et de la formation des jeunes, à travers la production et la commercialisation de matériel informatique et de communication à moindre coût.
Les activités de cette industrie s’inscrivent dans un transfert de technologie qui va non seulement profiter aux consommateurs, mais surtout renforcer les compétences du capital humain en termes d’expertise et de formation de nos étudiants.
